Alverson is a Chicago alderman. He is a prominent figure in the black caucus but usually defers to Alderman Ross.


Season 2Edit

He is tapped by Mayor Tom Kane to replace Ross as the leader of the black caucus when Ross withdraws from politics because of his loyalty. However, he is blackmailed into voting against Kane by Ross's aide Mona Fredericks; she threatens to put "crazy shit" that he has written on the internet.[1]
