Season 2
Edit
He attends Mayor Tom Kane's groundbreaking ceremony for the O'Hare airport expansion. He is interviewed with Meredith Kane and speaks positively about Tom. Tom gives a statement citing his companies ongoing involvement in city redevelopment and jokingly admonishes him to behave himself, fiscally.[1]
To fix a problem, Tom sends Meredith to "prove her loyalty" to her husband to pursuade Babe using whatever means necessary. Babe has sex with her.
Later, however, Meredith informs him that the properties around Lennox Gardens that he bought will be devalued soon. He is furious. Babe strikes back by buying off the votes of numerous politicians to reject the issuance of city bonds to mend Chicago's debt crisis. Kane then pushes the state's attorney to indict Babe on racketeering charges, putting an end to his long stint of power over the city.
